children's ministry

We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power and the wonders He has done...Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands.

Psalm 78:4B & 7

who we are

We partner with parents by providing faith-building opportunities in an environment that will bring children into a relationship with Jesus Christ, and to become life-changers in their families and community.

City kids

City Kids is a space especially designed for kids from birth to 5th grade. Here at SACC we believe that every Sunday should be a celebration. In this spirit, we have endeavored to create a fun environment along with an interactive, engaging program that will ensure kids are excited about coming to church.

We offer Children's Programming for K-5th grade at both our 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM services.

We also have a Wiggles and Giggles room where nursing moms can still enjoy the service.

    Children Toddler through 4 years

Our preschoolers are encouraged to explore the world God created around them and discover God's love in a safe nurturing environment. This is facilitated through fun, caring staff, and interactive Bible stories, along with hands-on activities designed just for them.

    Children K-5th Grade

Our purpose is to develop children into followers of Christ. We are constantly seeking new and relevant ways to help children experience the love of Christ and to join parents in raising them to be world changers! As parents, we welcome your participation in this process.

upcoming events

City Kids Arts and Drama Camp

This is a week-long musical theater camp for students graduating Kindergarten through 5th grade. It is designed to create a hands-on theater experience, and is focused on building performance skills, self-confidence, and teamwork.

Camp will run from July 26th - 29th, from 9am to 12pm, and will include rotations through drama, dance, music, and craft workshops.
It will conclude with an impressive showcase for family and friends on the 29th at 6pm.

There’s no better place for kids to learn about theater and have fun than in City Kid’s positive and encouraging atmosphere -
and every camper gets the opportunity to perform on stage!

GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior)

GEMS is a relationship building club for elementary age girls. Our program offers members the opportunity to experience leadership challenges, serve others, and make new friends, all while having tons of fun! We will accomplish this by studying the Bible together, talking about topics that resonate with issues girls face today, and engaging in exciting hands-on learning opportunities.

Earning badges is an important part of GEMS. We believe when girls understand their unique design, as well as the nature of their designer, they will be equipped and empowered to change the world. Through badge work, our club members will have the opportunity to discover how they are wired. As they learn about and try different things, they will uncover their own areas of success.

GEMS Meetings:

We meet Tuesday nights at 6:30 PM at South Albany Community Church. Meetings run through June 15th where we take a break for summer.
