who is sacc

No matter who you are, where you've been, or what you've done, you matter to God, and are welcome at South Albany Community Church (SACC).  SACC is a gathering place with people of all ages and from all walks of life.

It's also a real-life community - real humans living real lives, making mistakes, experiencing triumphs and joy, doing their best with what they've been given, finding their next steps toward Jesus and helping others do the same.

South Albany Community Church is concerned that you know you're loved by Christ. He wants to provide you with abundant life, your true identity and change you into the person he has created you to be. As Christ is changing you he desires you to be about helping others discover life in him and becoming who he has designed them to be. We sum this up by saying we are about "Bringing Life to Albany, Making Disciples who Make Disciples."

So point your feet in the right direction, take a step, and see what happens. But don't go it alone - we weren't made for that. Join with people who will walk with you through life's ups and downs, and pick you up when you stumble and fall.

sunday services

Our 9 and 10:45 AM services include practical teaching from God's Word and authentic worship that serves as a catalyst for living a life of worship all week long. For both AM services, we offer age-appropriate programming for nursery, preschool, and elementary-aged children. Our Youth meet from 9 - 10:15 AM in the Youth House, which is adjacent to the main church building.

we need to talk

The church at large has been silent on issues that we need to talk about.  Christians aren’t known for listening.  Although the church is first and foremost united by Christ, unfortunately, we frequently let ourselves be united instead by policy, politics or opinions. Instead, we could be taking a step back to ask, “What does Jesus say about this?”

We need to learn to converse and to love each other through listening.  We need to learn to talk and listen amongst disagreement.  We Need to Talk is a space where those in the church, as well as those outside the church, can listen, disagree, learn, be heard, and have a healthy, loving environment to talk about real things.

We Need to Talk is an opportunity to do just that.  A chance to listen, talk, listen some more, then share a meal together, reminding each other that we are part of one body.

We Need to Talk - the last Sunday of each month

5 – 6 PM in the Fellowship Hall
